Marilyn draws on her successful recovery from depression and Bipolar Disorder as her inspiration for her books and stage production.

Her true labor of love is her autobiography entitled, Free at Last, My Journey Into, Through, and Out of Depression.

Marilyn's first book and companion to her autobiography is a book of poignant but easy-to-read poems, The Girl Behind the Closed Door.

Her workbook, From Where I'm Standing, teaches the attitudes and steps that helped Marilyn to build a successful and joyous life. A combination of stories and exercises, the workbook can be used by anyone who wants greater insight into his or her life.

Marilyn has also created two children's books, Judy's Rainbow, and A Lesson for Neddy, both of which teach valuable life and self-esteem lessons to children and their families.

Marilyn wrote her books and created her stage play, Dirty Laundry, to share her experiences and insights. Through them she hopes to give others the hope that they too can successfully deal with depression, mental illness, or the heavy demands of their lives.

"Whether reading my autobiography or watching my play, people say that they get so lost in hearing my story that they are surprised when they find their own."

Marilyn and her husband, John, live in beautiful Nanoose Bay on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Marilyn enjoys communicating with readers and audience members through this website.
